La idea de este blog, es tan simple como mostrar la maravillosa versatilidad del idioma hebreo, idioma en el que según nuestras creencias, fué creado el mundo. Es la lengua de D"s y la de los ángeles y la lengua en la que está escrita nuestra Ley, nuestra Torá. Por lo tanto, es nuestra lengua santa. El renacimiento del hebreo gracias a la labor inmensa de Eliezer Ben Yehuda, entre otros, más allá de su uso en la liturgia es un fenómeno de principios del siglo XX, y está estrechamente asociado con el sionismo. O como dijo Cecil Roth,"Antes de Ben-Yehuda... los judíos podían hablar hebreo; después de él, lo hicieron."
The idea of this blog is as simple as to show the wonderful versatility of the hebrew language, the language that, according to our beliefs, was used when the world was created, the Holy Language. It is G-d's language, the language of angels and the one in which our Law, the Torah, was written. Hence, it is our Holy Language. The revival of hebrew thanks to the hard work of Eliezer Ben Yehuda, among other pioneers, further than it usage priorly restricted to the religious environment is a phenomenon of the XX century, closely related to Zionism.
